D6K Track Type Tractor Engine Supplement Caterpillar


Cooling System Package (Radiator, Aftercooler, Hydraulic Oil Cooler) - Remove and Install

Usage:

D6K2 XL DFR

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the hood.

  2. Remove the front bottom guard.

  1. Remove clip (1) and the cable strap on hose (2). Loosen the clamps and disconnect hose (2) and hose (3).

  2. Loosen the clamps and remove hose (4) and hose (5).

  3. Loosen the clamps and disconnect hose (6), hose (7), and hose (8).

  4. Disconnect hose assembly (9) and hose assembly (10).

  5. Remove cable strap (11) and disconnect harness assembly (12).

  6. Remove three bolts (13). Repeat for the opposite side.

  7. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cooling system package (14). The weight of cooling system package (14) is approximately 340 kg (750 lb) (14).

  8. Remove cooling system package (14) from the machine.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install cooling system package (14) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten the clamp on hose (2) to a torque of 11 ± 1 N·m (97 ± 9 lb in).
