The calibration of a component using the information display allows the ECM module to determine the correct output level. The calibration also allows the ECM to determine the correct input signal for displacement.
Some of the components that are connected to the implement ECM can be calibrated by using the Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat® ET) Service Tool.
Calibrations should be performed on a surface that is smooth and level.
The following implement component calibrations can be performed using the information display:
- Left Front Implement Pump Solenoid Calibration
- Left Rear Implement Pump Solenoid Calibration
- Right Front Implement Pump Solenoid Calibration
- Right Rear Implement Pump Solenoid Calibration
- Lift Linkage Sensor Calibration
- Tilt Linkage Sensor Calibration
- Implement Raise Valve #1 Calibration
- Implement Lower Valve #1 Calibration
- Implement Rackback Valve #1 Calibration
- Implement Dump Valve #1 Calibration
- Lift Lever Calibration
- Tilt Lever Calibration
The following transmission component calibrations can be performed using the information display:
- Torque Converter Pedal Calibration
- Impeller Clutch Solenoid Calibration

The information display will list initial machine conditions that must be satisfied before the ECM will allow the calibration procedure to continue. Follow the specific instructions on the display to complete the calibration procedure.
Note: The “CALIBRATION REQUIRED” diagnostic will be active. The ECM will revert to the previous successful calibrated values if a calibration is aborted at any time.
