  1. Remove eight bolts (2) and guard (1).

  2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to stub shaft (3) and remove bolts (4). The weight of stub shaft (3) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).

  3. Remove two bolts (5) and insert Tooling (B).

  4. Remove the remaining bolts (5).

  5. Slide the first vibration damper (6) forward and install a suitable lifting device. Remove vibration damper (6).

  6. Slide adapter (7) forward. Attach a suitable lifting device and remove adapter (7). The weight of adapter (7) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

  7. Slide the second vibration damper (6) forward and install a suitable lifting device. Remove vibration damper (6).

  8. The weight of vibration dampers (6) is approximately 150 kg (331 lb).

  1. Install Tooling (B) in the front of the crankshaft.

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device and position the second vibration damper (6) on Tooling (B) and put into position.

    Note: Align the mark on the crankshaft with the mark on the second vibration damper.

  3. Attach a suitable lifting device to adapter (7). The weight of adapter (7) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Install adapter (7).

    Note: Align the mark on the second vibration damper with the mark on the adapter.

  4. Attach a suitable lifting device and position the first vibration damper (6) on Tooling (B) and put into position. The weight of vibration dampers (6) is approximately 150 kg (331 lb).

    Note: Align the mark on the adapter with the mark on the first vibration damper.

  5. Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of bolts (5). Install bolts (5).

  6. Remove Tooling (B).

  7. Install two remaining bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 1125 ± 100 N·m (830 ± 75 lb ft).

    Note: Refer to the Specifications Module, "Vibration Damper" for more information.

  8. Use Tooling (A) and attach a suitable lifting device to stub shaft (3).

  9. Position stub shaft (3) and install bolts (4). Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 1150 ± 150 N·m (848 ± 111 lb ft).

  10. Install guard (1) and eight bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft).
