Exhaust Cooler (NRS) - Remove and Install

Start By:
- Remove the turbocharger.
- Remove heat shields (1).

Illustration 2 g03040616 - Remove clamp (2) and discard. Remove tube assembly (3).

Illustration 3 g03040620 - Remove heat shields (7). Disconnect heat sensors (8). Remove baffle (6). Loosen V-clamp (5). Remove clamp (4).

Illustration 4 g03040656 - Loosen V-clamps (9) and remove bellows (11). Discard V-clamps (9) and bellows (11).
- Remove tube assembly (10).
- Attach a suitable lifting device to exhaust cooler (12). The weight of exhaust cooler (12) is approximately
23 kg (50 lb) .Show/hide tableIllustration 5 g03040716 - Disconnect tube assemblies (14). Remove bolt (15) and disconnect elbow (16) from exhaust cooler (12). Move the tube assembly out of the way. Remove remaining bolts (13) and use the suitable lifting device to remove exhaust cooler (12).
Note: Steps 8 through 17 are for the removal of the exhaust cooler on the left side of the machine.

- Attach a suitable lifting device to exhaust cooler (26). The weight of exhaust cooler (26) is approximately
23 kg (50 lb) .Show/hide tableIllustration 11 g03040861 - Use Tooling (A) and suitable cribbing to lower crankcase guard (29). The weight of crankcase guard (29) is approximately
79 kg (175 lb) . Remove the bolts and crankcase guard (29).Show/hide tableIllustration 12 g03041317 Looking up from the bottom of the machine. - Disconnect elbow (31) from exhaust cooler (26). Remove bolts (30) and the clips.

Illustration 14 g03041377 - Remove bolts (34). Use the suitable lifting device to remove exhaust cooler (26).
Note: Steps 1 through 7 are for the removal of the exhaust cooler on the right side of the machine.

- Install exhaust cooler (26) and exhaust cooler (12) in the reverse order of removal.
- Install new bellows (28) with the flow arrows pointing towards exhaust cooler (26). Install and tighten new V-clamps (27) to a torque of
8.5 ± 1.0 N·m (75.23 ± 8.85 lb in) . - Install and tighten new V-clamps (24) and (5) to a torque of
8.5 ± 1.0 N·m (75.23 ± 8.85 lb in) . - Install new bellows (11) with the flow arrows pointing towards exhaust cooler (12). Install and tighten new V-clamps (9) to a torque of
8.5 ± 1.0 N·m (75.23 ± 8.85 lb in) . - Tighten heat sensors (8) and (21) to a torque of
45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft) . - Install new clamps (18) and (2). Tighten clamps (18) and (2) with a maximum wrench speed of 75 RPM to a torque of
55 ± 8 N·m (41 ± 6 lb ft) .
- Install new bellows (28) with the flow arrows pointing towards exhaust cooler (26). Install and tighten new V-clamps (27) to a torque of
