Caterpillar now offers Remanufactured Final Drive Hubs and Housings for many Caterpillar machines. These Remanufactured Final Drive Hubs and Housings provide an alternative for value-priced repairs for dealers and their customers. The high quality of factory remanufacturing, simple core inspection criteria, and value exchange prices provide a profitable product offering that is easily manageable.

A quality Remanufactured Hub or Housing is readily available off the shelf to keep machine downtime to a minimum. These hubs and housings are remanufactured to factory specifications, including a fusion-weld process performed on all wear surfaces. Splines, bearing races, keyways and threads are restored to new part dimensions.

Remanufactured Hubs and Housings have simple core inspection criteria. Both hub and housing cores must be genuine Caterpillar parts. Hub cores can be cracked, but must be in one piece to receive credit. Hub cores that have holes or are broken are unacceptable for return. Housings are acceptable for credit provided they are not visibly cracked or broken.

Remanufactured Hubs and Housings are competitively priced at approximately 50 to 60% of new. They are backed by the same factory warranty offered for new parts.

The following charts list the hubs and housings and their corresponding Remanufactured Part No. The models using these parts are listed in the Referenced IRM. Refer to the Parts Book if you are not sure of the original part number used on the machine.
