New Oil Pump Gears Used {1304}
Usage:
3406, 3408, 3412 Engines
A change was made to the pitch of the internal oil pump gears in the above engines. This change effects the two types of pumps used in these engines. A two section pump is used in the engines for the D8L and D9L Tractors. All other engines use a single section pump. If a replacement is needed for one of the former gears, it will be serviced by a pair of the new gears. The pump group affected by this change are: OR918, 7C1531, 4N733, 1W729, 6N1030, 4N8734, 7C1772, 6N2346, and 1W6001. The new gears and the former gears for both single and two section pumps are listed in the chart below.
