Start By:

  1. Remove the piston pump (hydraulic and steering).

  1. Remove bolts (1) from valve group (2). Remove valve group (2) from the piston pump.

  2. Remove plug (3) from valve (2).

  3. Remove O-ring seal (4), ring (5), and needle valve (6) from valve (2).

  4. Remove plug (7) from valve (2).

  5. Remove O-ring seal (8) from plug (7).

  6. Remove plug (9) from valve (2).

  7. Remove O-ring seal (10) from plug (9).

  8. Remove plug (11) from valve (2).

  9. Remove O-ring seal (12) from plug (11).

    Note: Do not loosen adjustment screw or the locknut on plug (13) or plug (15).

  10. Remove plug (13) from valve (2).

  11. Remove O-ring seal (14) from plug (13).

  12. Remove plug (15) from valve (2).

  13. Remove O-ring seal (16) from plug (15).

  14. Remove guide (17), spring (18), pin (19), guide (20), and spool (21) from valve (2).

  15. Remove guide (22), spring (23), guide (24), and spool (25) from valve (2).

  16. Remove plug (30) from head (31). Slowly remove bolts (33) in order to release the spring force on the valve assembly.

  17. Remove head (31) from housing (26).

  18. Remove bolts (27), cover (28), and O-ring seal (29) from housing (26).

  19. Remove piston (36) and remove spring (35) from piston rod (34).

  20. Remove piston (38) from piston rod (37).

  21. Remove pin (39) from head (31).

  22. Remove piston rod (34) from head (31) if removal is necessary.

  23. Remove piston rod (37) from head (31) if removal is necessary.

  24. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove bearing cup (40) from head (31).

  25. Remove bearing cone (42). Remove shims (41) that are underneath bearing cone (42). Remove plate (43) from the pump group. Remove pins (44) and gasket (45) from the pump housing.

  26. Remove bolts (49). Remove locking plates (48) and remove spacer plates (47) from swashplate (46).

  27. Remove plug (50) from housing (26).

  28. Remove rotating group (51) and remove shims (52) from shaft (53).

  29. For assembly purposes, place identification marks on pistons (54). The position of the identification marks should correspond to the position of barrel (55) and plate (56). Remove pistons (54) and remove plate (56) from barrel (55).

  30. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press in order to compress spring (59). Remove retaining ring (57) from barrel (55).

  31. Remove the following parts from barrel (55): spacer (60), spring (59) and spacer (58).

  32. Remove swashplate (46). Remove shaft (53) and bearing cone (61) from housing (26).

  33. Remove bearing cone (61) from shaft (53).

  34. Remove lip seal (62) from housing (26).

  35. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining rings (63) from housing (26). Remove remaining lip seal (64) from the housing (26).

  36. Remove screws (67). Remove bearing (65) and bearing (66) from housing (26).

  37. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove bearing cup (68) from the housing.
