Reset Pushbutton Location |
The Reset Pushbutton is located behind the locked left door of the Input/Output Cabinet. Refer to Illustration 1.
This pushbutton resets the breaker by closing the breaker when the breaker has opened. The breaker is open due to a K1 over-current trip state. Additionally, a "K1 Over Current Shutdown Activated" message will occur in the log file. This state is also known as a "BBS Trip" or a "Breaker Bell Alarm Supervisor Trip".
Pressing and holding the button initiates the reset.
System status is displayed on the user interface panel on the Controls Cabinet.
Reset Procedure
Note: Before pressing the reset pushbutton, refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "K1 Overcurrent Shutdown - Reset".
Note: 24V to the K1 circuit breaker is not present. Do not manually close the K1 circuit breaker.
Pushbutton Removal
- Refer to the information in the Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Input/Output Cabinet)" in order to de-energize the system and gain access to internal components.
- Open the cabinet door. Locate the black pushbutton.

- Locate the wire assembly.

- Unlock the lever on the bottom of the wire assembly in order to disconnect the wire assembly from the button assembly.

- Remove the wire assembly by pulling back from the rear button assembly.
- Disconnect the two wires from the wiring assembly.
- Remove the rear button assembly from the safety panel. Rotate the assembly counter-clockwise. Pull back on the assembly.
- Squeeze the two small white tabs on the sides of the remaining button assembly.
- Slide the button straight out through the front of safety panel.
Pushbutton Installation
- Install the front button assembly into the safety panel by sliding the assembly through the front of the panel.
- Attach the rear portion of the button assembly to the front assembly. Rotate the button assembly clockwise in order down to hold the button to the door.
- Attach the two wires to the wire assembly.
Each wires location is marked. Refer to Illustration 4.

- Attach the wire assembly to the rear button assembly. Lock the wire assembly in place by moving the locking switch to the right.
