Removal Procedure

1. Turn battery disconnect switch (1) to the OFF position.

2. Use two people in order to lower guard assembly (2). The weight of guard assembly (2) is approximately 80 kg (175 lb).

3. Disconnect cable assemblies (3) and (4). Disconnect harness assembly (5). Disconnect clip (6) from electric starting motor (7).

4. Use two people in order to remove electric starting motor (7). The weight of electric starting motor (7) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Install electric starting motor (7) in the reverse order of the removal procedure.

   1. Tighten the nuts for cable assembly (3) and cable assembly (4) to a torque of 30.5 ± 3.5 N·m (270.00 ± 31.00 in).
