Fuel Tank Cap and Strainer - Clean
The fuel tank cap is located on the top of the fuel tank.
The strainer is located under the fuel tank cap. The strainer will strain the fuel as the fuel enters the fuel tank.
Note: When performing maintenance see Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Stopping the Machine". Maintain a three-point contact. Be sure to use a stable platform covered with a slip resistant surface in order to perform any maintenance.
- Clean the area around the fuel tank cap.
- Remove the fuel tank cap.
- Remove the gasket that is part of the fuel tank cap. Inspect the gasket for damage. If the gasket is damaged, replace the gasket.
- Disassemble the fuel tank cap.
- Install the gasket.
- Remove the strainer. Clean the strainer in clean, nonflammable solvent.
- Install the strainer.
- Clean the fuel tank cap. Install the fuel tank cap.
