New Marine Transmission Oil Cooler Group Available{3320}

Usage:

All 3208 Marine ( 1Z ) Engines With Seawater Transmission Oil Cooling

Description of Change: A new transmission oil cooler group is available for use on the above engines. The seawater outlet of the new cooler group housing has been changed to help purge air from the cooler core. Two zinc rods and two plugs have been added to the cooler group to act as drain plugs and protect the cooler group from seawater corrosion. Also, a new gasket and mounting bolts are used.

Adaptable As: The new 7W7414 Marine Transmission Oil Cooler Group (used with SAE #2 flywheel housings) and the 7W1396 Marine Transmission Oil Cooler Group (used with SAE #3 flywheel housings) are direct replacements for the former 4W9151 and 1W5852 Marine Transmission Oil Cooler Groups respectively. Both of the former cooler groups have been canceled.

NOTE: A new 7W2073 Hose and two 9M164 Clamps, part of the 7W4039 Exhaust Elbow Group, are needed to install the new cooler groups on the 4W808 Exhaust Elbow Assembly used on the above engines. The chart shows the parts that have changed between the former and new cooler groups.
