Improved Service Brake and Service Brake Lines Group Reduces Seal Leaks {4251, 4257}

Description of Change: The service brake housing has been modified in order to reduce the probability of seal damage upon installation. See illustration 1. There will be new fittings for the ends. The internal tubes that mate to the service brake housing have been modified in order to reduce the probability of seal damage upon installation. These fittings will mate to the service brake housing of the tube to the front and rear axles. Finally, the assembly process has been improved at the factory via new tooling.

Adaptable To: The new service brake housing and tube assemblies are direct replacements for the previous parts. A parts list for the Large Wheel Loaders is listed below. See table 1.

The short chamfer on the adapter tube may contribute to additional movement in the saddle during assembly.

Clearance and movement will be reduced by increasing the outside diameter of the adapter. The chamfer will also be modified in order to avoid excessive movement of the tube which can lead to seal damage.
