Ripper Frame - Remove and Install

Start By:

Remove the ripper lift cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Lift Cylinder - Remove and Install".
Remove the ripper carriage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Carriage - Remove and Install".

Install lift cylinder pin (3). Attach a suitable lifting device to ripper frame (2) and lift cylinder pin (3). Remove pins (1) and ripper frame (2). The weight of ripper frame (2) is approximately 141 kg (310 lb).

Use Tooling (A) to remove bearings. Repeat on the other side.

Attach a suitable lifting device to ripper frame (2) and lift cylinder pin (3). Install ripper frame (2). The weight of ripper frame (2) is approximately 141 kg (310 lb). Install pins (1). Use shims to tighten the frame. Remove the lifting device and remove lift cylinder pin (3) .

End By:

Install the ripper carriage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Carriage - Remove and Install".
Install the ripper lift cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Lift Cylinder - Remove and Install".
