- Use the installed lines in order to fill the cases of the fan motor, the implement/steering pump, and the brake and fan drive pump. Attach a purge line to the pressure tap in the line for the fan pump. Refer to illustration 5. Attach another purge line to the case drain line above the fan motor. Refer to illustration 6. Attach a bypass hose for the filter at the test ports for the hydraulic oil filter. One above the hydraulic service center and one inside the hydraulic service center. Refer to illustration 7.

- Fill the tank with hydraulic oil. Replace the hydraulic tank breather with 148-8410 Plug As and install the pressure cap. Refer to illustration 8. Turn on air pressure. The regulator will allow only 5 psi of air pressure. Use gauge to validate pressure. Once a steady stream of oil begins to flow out of the purge line, remove the purge line and filter bypass hose. Remove the purge line for the fan motor first. Remove the pressure cap and reinstall the breather.

- Continue to fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".
Note: During initial start-up, the engine should never run higher than low idle until the hydraulic system has been cycled and the hydraulic tank oil level has been readjusted to the correct level.
End By: Install the fan group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Group - Install".
