Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Remove".

1. Remove spacer (7) from shaft (6) .

2. Remove spring pin (8) from shaft (6) .

3. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (5) .

4. Remove idler pulley assembly (4) from shaft (3) .

5. Remove spring pin (2) from bracket assembly (1) and shaft (3) .

6. Remove shaft (3) from bracket assembly (1) .

7. Remove bolt (11) and washer (10). Remove belt tensioner (9) from bracket assembly (1) .

8. Remove bearings (12) from idler pulley assembly (4) .

9. Use a suitable press in order to remove shaft (6) from bracket assembly (1) .

10. Remove Tooling (A) from the fan drive.

    Note: Tooling (A) was installed in the Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Remove".

11. Remove fan pulley hub (14) from fan pulley (13) .

12. Remove lip seal (15), bearing cone (16), and bearing cup (17) from fan pulley hub (14) .

13. Remove bearing cone (20), spacer (19), and bearing cup (18) from fan pulley hub (14) .
