Introduction
This special instruction includes the procedure to install the pressurizer assembly and the procedure to test the pressurizer assembly. This special instruction also includes the procedure for installation of the sound suppression group.
After installation is complete, prepare the machine for service. Follow the procedure in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine.
Do not attempt any procedure until you have read the information in this special instruction and you understand the information.
Before performing any steps in the special instruction, you need to make sure that the mounting holes for the precleaner are in the correct location. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS3389, "Improvements To The Case Of The Air Cleaner For The Enhanced Cab" for the proper location of the mounting holes.

Installing the Pressurizer Assembly
- Attach bracket (6) and bracket (10) to the heater group with four bolts (15) and four washers (17) .

- Route the wiring harness up the side of the heater group with duct tape.
- Install air filter (11) .

- Attach 41.0 ± 0.3 cm (16.14 ± 0.12 inch) of seal (19) onto plate (9) .
- Install plate (9) onto bracket (6) with two bolts (15) and two washers (17) .

- Close plate (9) with latch (21) .

- Install cover (7) with the bolts (22) and washers (23) that were removed with 227-4159 Cover As .
- Attach seal (18) between the doors on cover (7) .
- Assemble cap (5) onto precleaner (4) with hose clamp (1) .

- Install grommet (14) into plate (8) .

- Install precleaner (4) onto plate (8) with 22.5 ± 0.3 cm (8.86 ± 0.12 inch) of seal (19), four bolts (16), and four washers (12). Torque bolts (16) to 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in).

- Route wiring harness (24) through grommet (14) .
- Attach plate (8) to cover (7) with four bolts (15) and four washers (13) .

- Attach latch (3) onto plate (8) and cover (7) with four rivets (2) .
- Connect wiring harness (24) with the wiring harness from Step 2.
- After completing these steps, perform the steps in ""Test and Validation of the Pressurizer Assembly" ".

Installing the Pressurizer Assembly
- Attach bracket (29) and bracket (33) to the heater group with four bolts (37) and four washers (39) .

- Route the wiring harness up the side of the heater group with duct tape.
- Attach plate (30) to bracket (29) with two bolts (37) and two washers (39) .

- Install plate (32) with the bolts that are removed from 216-0870 Plate As .

- Install door (31) with the bolts that are removed from 216-0854 Door As .
- Install air filter (34), with door (31) and plate (30) open .

- Close plate (30) and door (31). Secure plate (30) with the latch.
- Attach hose (43) onto plate (28) with one hose clamp (25) .

- Install precleaner (26) onto plate (28) with seal (48), four bolts (35), and four washers (37). Torque bolts (35) to 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in).

- Attach rain cap (27) onto precleaner (26) with one hose clamp (25) .

- Connect wiring harness (50) to the wiring harness on the side of the heater group from Step 2.
- Attach hose (43) to plate (30) with one hose clamp (25) .

Test and Validation of the Pressurizer Assembly

- Replace the fresh air and recirculation filter elements with new filters.
- Plug the low pressure port and the high pressure port on the back of gauge (51) with the plugs that are provided.

- Assemble the gauge onto the L bracket (54) that is provided.
- Lift floor mats and remove one bolt from the floorplate.

- Close all windows and shut doors tightly.
- Turn the blower to the OFF position.
- Place pressure gauge (51) on the dash. Make sure that the gauge is level.
- Zero gauge (51) by using the screw on the gauge face.
- By using the barbed fitting that is provided, attach a hose that is approximately 147.32 cm (58 inch) to the low pressure port on the side of gauge (51) .
- By using the barbed fitting that is provided, attach a hose that is approximately 30.48 cm (12 inch) to either high pressure port on the side of gauge (51) .
- Route the free end of the low pressure tubing (53) through hole (55) in the floorplate that was created by removing the bolt from the floor.
- Ensure that no air vents are directed toward the free end of the high pressure tubing (53) .
- Verify that gauge (51) reads zero.
- Start the engine.
- Operate the engine at LOW IDLE.
- Open all air vents.
- Turn on the fan speed switch to the HIGH position. Wait in order to stabilize the cab pressure.
- Read the cab pressure. Make sure that gauge (51) stays level.
Note: The reading should be greater than 0.05 kPa (0.2 inch of H2O).
