Grapple Arch (Dual Function) - Install

Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Lower the temperature of bearings (9) and install bearing (9) on both sides.

  2. Use a suitable lifting device to position grapple arch (2) on the machine. The weight of grapple arch (2) is approximately 658 kg (1450 lb).

  3. Install pin assembly (8) and bolt (7). Repeat this Step for the other side of grapple arch (2).

  4. Use the suitable lifting device to raise the grapple arch into position.

  5. Connect arch cylinder (4) and install pin assembly (5) and bolt (6). Repeat this Step for the other arch cylinder.

  6. Remove the suitable blocking that was used to support arch cylinder (4). Repeat this Step for the other side.

  7. Remove the suitable lifting device from grapple arch (2).

  8. Remove pin assemblies (3).

  9. Connect hose assemblies (1) on both sides of the machine.

End By:

  1. Install the grapple boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple Boom (Dual Function) - Install".
