Grapple Arch (Dual Function) - Remove

Usage:

525C 525

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple Boom (Dual Function) - Remove".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from both sides of the machine.

  2. Install mounting pin assemblies (3) for the boom and install a suitable lifting device to pin assemblies (3). The weight of grapple arch (2) is approximately 658 kg (1450 lb).

  3. Position suitable blocking under arch cylinder (4), as shown.

  4. Remove bolt (6) and pin assembly (5) and disconnect arch cylinder (4).

  5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the other arch cylinder.

  6. Lower grapple arch (2) and attach another suitable lifting device to grapple arch (2), as shown.

  7. Remove bolt (7) and pin assembly (8). Repeat this Step for the other side of the machine.

  8. Remove grapple arch (2).

  9. Remove bearings (9) from both sides.
