Anda dapat mengidentifikasi sistem pipa orifis dengan menemukan satu pengering sejajar (1) atau satu akumulator (2) dalam sistem. Pipa orifis terletak di dalam pengering sejajar atau dalam pipa masuk evaporator dan pipa orifis tidak dapat terlihat.

Sistem katup ekspansi dapat diidentifikasi dengan menemukan Katup Ekspansi Termostatik (TXV, Thermostatic Expansion Valve) dalam sistem. Dua tipe utama dari TXV adalah blok (3) dan katup ekspansi 90° (4). Sistem katup ekspansi juga dilengkapi dengan unit penerima-pengering (5).
