转向马达位于背压阀和适配器之间。 适配器固定在操作台下的机架上。

转向马达是一个活塞式固定排量弯轴马达。 转向马达由来自可变排量活塞泵的油进行操纵。 转向马达在任意方向可产生同等量的输出扭矩。

油可从任意方向流过转向马达。 油流方向的变化导致柱塞缸 (4) 、活塞 (2) 和轴 (10) 的转动方向改变。

以下部件是马达上的转动零件:轴 (10), 扣环和垫片 (15), 固定板 (9), 活塞 (2) 和 柱塞缸 (4) 。 以下部件为非转动零件:缸盖 (7), 壳体 (6), 配流盘 (5), 垫片 (14), 环 (12) 和 盖 (16) 。

来自泵的油经转向控制阀和背压阀流向转向马达。 然后,油经过缸盖 (7) 中的进口控制槽流向配流盘 (5) 中的进口控制槽。

注: 转动方向决定缸盖 (7) 中两个槽的进口和出口。 同样,转动方向决定配流盘 (5) 中两个槽的进口和出口。

油经过配流盘 (5) 流入配流盘 (5) 进口控制槽上方柱塞缸 (4) 的缸筒。

活塞 (2) 的油缸端通过固定板 (9) 固定在轴 (10) 的套筒中。 活塞 (2 ) 的密封端位于柱塞缸 (4) 中。 柱塞缸 (4) 绕着枢轴销 (1) 旋转,枢轴销与轴 (10) 的轴线成 40 度的固定角度。

随着轴 (10) 、活塞 (2) 和柱塞缸 (4) 继续旋转,活塞到达上止点(完全回缩位置)。 同时,油缸开始与配流盘 (5) 内的出口控制槽重叠。 活塞开始向下移动。 由于活塞向下移动,活塞将油推出油缸,进入配流盘 (5) 中的出口控制槽,并流过缸盖 (7) 中的出口控制槽。 该相同的油随后会被推入背压阀,流向转向控制阀,并进入油箱。
