Automatic Lubrication System - Maintenance

Usage:

Documentation indicates that the grease filter that is installed behind the filler tube assembly needs replacing at every 500 hours of driving or operating. Extension of the service interval is possible only when the following guidelines have been met:

  • The filler tube assembly is provided with the dust plug and the plug is always cleaned before the filling procedure is started.

  • The coupling on the filler tube assembly should be stored in a manner that prevents pollution from entering the filler tube. The preferred method of storage is via the filler tube assembly on the cover of the filling device.

  • The number of filling procedures is reduced to a minimum. This can be achieved by filling the grease reservoir to the maximum level that is indicated on the grease reservoir. Filling the grease to the maximum level will also prevent pollution from entering the filter.

If no new filter is available, cleaning of the filter is a possible solution. The filter can be cleaned by using a solvent and compressed air. Be sure to check the filter before reinstalling on cracks.
