--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Remanufactured bare cylinder heads; which include plugs, inserts and guides; are available for all Caterpillar engines. The remanufactured bare cylinder heads will permit the dealer to build the head to the customer's needs. Caterpillar will not weld cylinder heads without a controllable process. The remanufactured bare cylinder heads have the same six month, unlimited mileage/hour warranty as new cylinder heads.

Remanufactured bare cylinder heads cost 10 to 30% of the price of a new cylinder head, when a good core is returned. If a cracked, damaged or welded core is returned, the cost is between 30 and 60% of a new cylinder head.

For more information on remanufactured bare cylinder heads, see Information Release Memo (IRM), REMFGD 84-19.
