Start By:
- Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
- Remove the front fixed axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fixed Axle (Front) - Remove and Install".
- Remove the rear axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Remove and Install".

Note: Make sure that the intermediate housing of the differential is positioned on the top when you locate the axle assembly in Tooling (A) .
- Remove the service brake from the intermediate housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Service Brakes - Remove and Install".
- Fasten a suitable lifting device to intermediate housing (1). Remove bolts (2) and intermediate housing assembly (1). The weight of intermediate housing (1) is approximately 109 kg (240 lb).

- Remove bolt (3) and bolt lock (4) .
Note: Adjusting nuts of two different sizes are used in the bevel gear group. Use Tooling (F) or Tooling (G) to remove the adjusting nuts.

- Use Tooling (F) or Tooling (G) to remove the adjusting nut (5) .
- Remove locating pin (7), sleeve assembly (6), and bearing cup (8) from intermediate housing (1) .
- Remove two bolts (9) that are directly opposite each other. Install Tooling (J) in the bolt holes.

- Remove remaining bolts (9). Slide pinion gear assembly (10) away from the differential housing in order to install Tooling (B). Attach a suitable lifting device to pinion gear assembly (10) .

- Use the suitable lifting device to remove pinion gear assembly (10). The weight of pinion gear assembly (10) is approximately 66 kg (145 lb).
- Remove the shims and the O-ring seal from the pinion assembly.
- Install Tooling (C) on differential assembly (11). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C) .

- Use a suitable lifting device to remove differential assembly (11). The weight of differential assembly (11) is 109 kg (240 lb).
- Use Tooling (D) to remove bearing cone (12) .

- Turn the differential onto the opposite side. Use Tooling (E) to remove bearing cone (13) .

- Remove bolts (15) that hold bevel gear (16) in position. Use a press to remove bevel gear (16) from the differential.
- Remove two spring pins (14) from the bevel gear.
- Remove bolt lock (18) and bolt (17) .

- Remove adjusting nut (19) from the differential housing.
- Remove locating pin (20) and remove sleeve assembly (21). Remove bearing cup (22) .
