Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the seat. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Remove".
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.
- Open the access door on the left side of the machine.
- Move the rubber terminal covers and disconnect the battery cables on the battery. Move the battery cables away from the terminals.
Note: This machine does not have a battery disconnect switch.
- Disconnect cable assembly (1). Disconnect harness assembly (2) from electric starting motor (3). This step is performed from the side of the machine.

- Remove nut (4) from the top of electric starting motor (3). This step must be performed inside the cab.

- Remove nut (5) from the bottom of electric starting motor (3). Remove electric starting motor (3) from the bottom of the machine.

Installation Procedure
- Place the electric starting motor into position on the studs. The electric starting motor must be installed under the machine.
- Install nut (5) onto the bottom of electric starting motor (3) .

- Install nut (4) onto the top of electric starting motor (3). This step must be performed inside the cab.

- Connect cable assembly (1). Connect harness assembly (2) onto electric starting motor (3). This step is performed from the side of the machine.

- Connect the battery cables on the battery. Move the rubber terminal covers onto the terminals.
Note: This machine does not have a battery disconnect switch.
- Close the access door on the left side of the machine.
End By: Install the seat. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Install".
