Description of Change: New master links are now available for D9L, D9N and D9R Track-Type Tractors. The new geometry of the master link improves both the reliability and the service life. The new geometry is shown in Illustration 1.

Adaptable To: The new master links are effective with the following machines:

• D9R (S/N: ACL1082-UP; ABK951-UP)

The new master links are adaptable to the following machines:

• D9L (S/N: 14Y1-UP)

• D9N (S/N: 1JD1-UP; 5FJ1-UP; 6XJ1-UP)

• D9R (S/N: 7TL1-UP; 8BL1-UP; ABK1-950; ACL1-1081)

The new master links may be used within a track joint with the former master link. Replacement of both the master link pin end and the master link bushing end is not required. Refer to Table 1 for the correct part number for your machine.
