Diode Assembly - Test
To do the following checks, all leads and plates must be unsoldered and disconnected from the diodes.

Positive Diode Check
- Put the multimeter on the diode scale. Connect the meter leads between each positive (+) diode and the stud.
- Note the meter reading and reverse the meter leads.
- One reading should be OL and the other 0.4 volts to 0.9 volts. If both readings are OL or low (0 volts to 0.1 volts), that diode is open or shorted and the positive (+) diode assembly must be replaced.
Negative Diode Check
- Put the mulitimeter on the diode scale. Connect the meter leads between each negative (-) diode and the stud.
- Note the meter reading and reverse the meter leads.
- One reading should be OL and the other 0.4 volts to 0.9 volts. If both readings are OL or low (0 volts to 0.1 volts), that diode is open or shorted and the negative (-) diode assembly must be replaced.
