Install seal ring (37) on shaft (36) .

Install pins (31) and seal ring (33) on carrier (32) .

Lower the temperature of bearing (30). Install the bearing in impeller (16) .

Install gear (29) and bolts (28). Tighten bolts (28) to a torque of 30 ± 5 N·m (22.0 ± 4 lb ft).

Install impeller (16) on carrier assembly (26) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (27) .

Install stator assembly (25) over the pins.

Install the plate and bolts (24). Tighten bolts (24) to a torque of 30 ± 5 N·m (22 ± 4 lb ft).

Install lip seal (38) by using Tooling (E) .

Install splined shaft (21) and retaining ring (20) in turbine (15A) .

Install turbine (15A) in housing (15) .

Install bearing (23) in housing (15) and over splined shaft (21) .

Install retaining ring (22) and O-ring seal (19) .

Install cover (18) and O-ring seal (19) .

Install impeller (16) on housing (15) with bolts (13). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 ± 5 N·m (22.0 ± 4 lb ft).

Install both bearings (11) and retaining rings (12) in housing (7) .

Lower the temperature of both drive gear assemblies (11A). Install the gear assemblies in housing (7) .

Install the rings (9) and (10) on the drive gear shafts.

Install Tooling (C) and position housing (7) over torque converter assembly (8). The weight of the housing is approximately 57 kg (125 lb).

Install bolts (6) .

Install the magnetic pickup sensor (5). Adjust sensor (5) in order to obtain a 0.89 mm (.0350 inch) air gap.

Install yoke (4), O-ring seal (3), retainer (2), and bolt (1). Tighten bolt (1) to a torque of 105 ± 15 N·m (75 ± 11 lb ft).

End By:

Install the torque converter outlet relief valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Install".
Install the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter - Install".
