SERVICE MAGAZINE, JANUARY 31, 1983, PAGE 4. Some of the information in the article "Parts Service Information For Pistons" is not complete. Make a reference in that issue to a new article in this issue with the same title. The new article has all the information from the earlier article plus some new information.

--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

In the past, several different piston designs have been used on the above engines. As improved pistons have been used, some of the former pistons have been canceled. In some of the applications, pistons with straight sides on the pin bore boss were used. These pistons are no longer used at the factory, but the pistons are still available for parts service. Neither the pistons with the straight sides or those with tapered sides are direct replacements for each other. All the pistons shown for the separate applications are direct replacements, if they have the same pin boss design and are the same size. The chart which follows shows the pistons which have been used, and those which are currently used. In each application there is one piston for each size and pin boss design which is available for parts service.
