Description of Change: An improved connecting rod bearing is now available for the above generator set engines with a high compression ratio. The improved connecting rod bearing will result in increased service life of the bearing.
Adaptable To: The new 227-2902 Connecting Rod Bearing is replacing the 192-7870 Connecting Rod Bearing that is within the 104-4836 Piston and Rod Gp and within the 103-3426 Piston and Rod Gp. The new bearing can be used in all G3600 Generator Set Engines that have a high compression ratio (10.5:1 or 11:1).
The new 227-2902 Connecting Rod Bearing is not used in engines with a low compression ratio (9:1) for gas compression applications.
Note: Use the 192-7870 Connecting Rod Bearing in engines with a low compression ratio for gas compression applications.
