The Automatic Lubrication System consists of the following systems:
- Electrical system
- Air system
- Lubrication system
These systems work together. The electrical system turns the automatic lubrication system on and off at periodic intervals. The air system connects the electrical system to the lubrication system. The air system is used to pressurize the lubrication system. The lubrication system provides the flow of the lubricant to the bearings.
The electrical system activates electric solenoid air valve (3) at specific time intervals. When the electric solenoid air valve is activated, system air pressure is allowed to flow to air regulator (1). The air regulator limits the amount of air pressure to pump assembly (11) .
The pump assembly pressurizes the lubricant. Vent valve (2) is operated by the regulated air supply. The vent valve allows the pressurized lubricant to flow to the injector banks.
The injector banks distribute the lubricant to the bearings. The lubrication injectors are adjustable.
