CID 0535 FMI 08 Exhaust Temperature Sensor noisy signal
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects all of the following conditions:
- Either the duty cycle is greater than 90 percent or less than 10 percent, or the sensor frequency is greater than 1000 Hz or less than 150 Hz.
- The ECM has been powered for at least three seconds.
- 263-03 and 263-04 are not active.
System Response:
The ECM flags "Right Exhaust Temperature" as invalid data. The ECM disables the parameters for the high exhaust on the monitoring system. The ECM will set engine exhaust temperature to a default value. The diagnostic code will be displayed on a diagnostic screen of the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET).
