Altronic III Ignition Systems Available{1560}

Usage:

3304, 3306, G342, G379, G398, G399 Natural Gas Engines

Description of Change: ALTRONIC III ignition systems have been released as attachments for the above models. The new systems use solid state electronic components, with no brushes or breaker contacts. Sealed ball bearings are used for long service life with a minimum amount of maintenance. The capacitor discharge system has good ignition characteristics for easy starts and smooth operation of the engine. At the same time, this type of system causes less erosion (wear) of the spark plug electrodes than regular breaker-type systems.

Adaptable To: The new gas engine ignition groups are available as attachments on the engines shown in the chart, and are adaptable to earlier engines with the serial numbers given. The complete groups are not available for parts service, but the separate parts can be ordered as shown in column three of the NPR (Numerical Parts Record) opposite the group number given in the chart.
