窜气过多会导致下述部件出现结垢或堵塞状况：
- 闭式曲轴箱通风 (CCV) 系统滤清器
- 涡轮增压器
- 后冷器
活塞或活塞环损坏可造成曲轴箱压力过高。 这种状况会导致发动机运转不平稳。 CCV 就可能会在很短的时间里阻塞，造成正常情况下不该漏油的密封垫和密封出现漏油。 窜气也可能因磨损的阀导管或损坏的涡轮增压器密封件而导致的。
