New Tube And Cover Assembly Make Service Easier{3300,3306}

Usage:

7271 Marine Transmissions

Description of Change: A new oil supply tube and cover assembly are used in the housing group on 7271 Marine Transmissions. The new tube and cover assembly makes service of the transmission easier.

The new cover assembly has oil passages on the inside to permit lubrication of the bearings. This new cover assembly makes it possible to remove only the top half of the front covers, if desired for service.

Also, a ball is used in the new cover assembly to close one of the drilled holes that was needed to machine the cover.

Formerly, four tube assemblies, fittings, and a cover assembly were used. These former parts were difficult to assemble or disassemble and it was not possible to remove only the top front cover for service.

Adaptable As: The new parts, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts as shown in the chart. The new parts are in effect on 7271 Marine Transmissions with Serial Number 36W263.
