Usage:
Introduction
This publication contains the assembly procedure and installation information necessary to install the rear access steps for the above model wheel loaders.

Do not perform any procedure, outlined in this publication, or order any parts until you read and understand the information contained within.
Personal injury can result from components falling. When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed. |
Necessary Parts
Installation Procedure
1. Remove door (A) and panels (B) and (C).
2. Remove door striker (D) from engine enclosure frame.
4. Install striker (D) on 7V2823 Block (40).
5. Remove existing 3V5460 Fuel Priming Pump Mounting Bracket. Install 9U4751 Fuel Priming Pump Mounting Bracket (35).

6. Cut two holes in 7V8618 Engine Enclosure Frame (E) as shown.
7. Weld 9U4452 Block (27) to engine enclosure frame (E). Block is pushed up through the bottom hole and welded on top.
8. Install 9U4463 Door Assembly (30) and Panel (C), which was removed earlier. Use 8T4835 Bolt (16) and 8T4223 Washer (15) to install 9U4465 Panel (31).
9. Remove handholds (E), (F), (G), and (H) and step assembly (J).
10. Weld 9U4750 Bar (34) on bumper with 12 mm (.50 in) fillet weld.
11. Remove platform treadplate.
12. Drill two 14.3 mm (.56 in) Ø holes in the platform.
13. Using 8T8917 Bolts (17), 8T4223 Washers (15) and one 6N8296 Block (8), secure the 9U4445 Support Assemblies (24) onto the platform.
NOTE: Blocks (8) will be welded to the platform, but it is best to install the ladder first to make sure everything fits.
14. Use soapy water to install 8G0841 Rubber Mounts (13) into supports (24).

15. Bolt 9U4444 Panel (23) onto platform.
16. Using four 8T9393 Bolts (18) and 8T4122 Washers (14), secure 9U4436 Ladder Assembly (22) to bumper.
18. Using two 8T9393 Bolts (18) and 8T4122 Washers (14), secure 9U4450 Brace (25) to engine enclosure.
Using two 5P2566 Bolts (6) and 8T4223 Washers (15), secure brace (25) to ladder assembly.
19. Weld 6N8296 Block (8) to platform. Bolt treadplate back onto platform.
20. Using two 4V9803 Plates (4), four 7X0325 Bolts (10), 4L9600 Spacers (3), 1K6872 Locknuts (2), and eight 8T4223 Washers (15), assemble four 9U4791 Belts (38) to 9U4788 Step Assembly (36) (bottom).
21. Using two 4V9803 Plates (4), four 7X0326 Bolts (11), 4L9600 Spacers (3), 1K6872 Locknuts (2), and eight 8T4223 Washers (15), assemble four belts to 9U4789 Step Assembly (37) (top).
24. Using one 8T9393 Bolt (18) and 8T4122 Washer (14) along with two 5P2566 Bolts (6) and 7X0590 Washers (12), attach 9U4749 Handhold (33).
25. Using sixteen 5P2566 Bolts (6) and 7X0590 Washers (12), attach 9U4455, 9U4451, and 9U4460 Handhold Assemblies (28) (26) and (29).
26. Drill two 14.3 mm (.56 in) Ø holes in the platform. Slide 6N8296 Block (8) behind the platform and bolt 9U4451 Handhold Assembly (26) to platform.
Using one 9B7237 Bolt (20), 6V8801 Nut (9) and two 5P1075 Washers (5), connect tabs between handhold (28) and (26).
Fabricated Handhold Plates (K) and (L).
27. Fabricate two handhold plates (K) and (L) from 6 mm (.24 in) thick plate as shown.
28. Using one 9B7237 Bolt (20), 6V8801 Nut (9) and two 5P1075 Washers (5), connect fabricated handhold plate (K) to tab on handhold (29).
29. Use a 3 mm (.12 in) fillet weld to attach plate (K) to handhold (M).
30. Using one 9B7237 Bolt (20), 6V8801 Nut (9) and two 5P1075 Washers (5), connect fabricated handhold plate (L) to tab on handhold (26).
31. Use a 3 mm (.12 in) fillet weld to attach fabricated handhold (L) to handhold (N).
