Usage:
Introduction
A new fumes disposal tube plus additional parts are available from the Parts Department as replacement for the existing fumes disposal tube on the machines listed above.
Installation of the new group will allow the fumes to exit in front of the radiator and help eliminate radiator core plugging resulting in "hot spots" and possible overheating.
Do not perform any procedure, outlined in this publication, or order any parts until you read and understand the information contained within.

Necessary Parts
Installation Procedure
1. Remove the radiator assembly. See the Service Manual for the correct procedure.
2. Remove baffle assembly (1) from the right side of the radiator guard.
3. Cut a 60 mm (2.36 in) diameter hole (A) in baffle assembly (1) at the dimension shown. This will allow an opening for the fumes disposal tube to pass through.
8V9885 Block.
4. Using the dimensions in the illustration above, fabricate the 8V9885 Block with carbon steel.
Drill a 8.2 mm (.32 in) diameter hole (B) in the 8V9885 Block and tap with 3/8-16-2B threads.
5. On the right side of the radiator guard and at the dimensions shown, install fabricated 8V9885 Block (2) with a 6 mm (.24 in) fillet weld on both sides.
6. Install 3Y7829 Boss (3) at the dimensions shown with a 6 mm (.24 in) fillet weld all around.
7. Install 9Y0876 Tube (4) with two 8L8137 Clips (5), two 7X0056 Bolts and two 7X0502 Washers as shown.
8. Install modified baffle assembly (1).
9. Install the radiator assembly. See the Service Manual for the correct procedure.
11. Connect hose (7) to tube (4) with a 5P0597 Clamp.
