Usage:
Introduction
A new bolt-on type drain assembly, plus additional necessary parts are available from the Parts Department as a replacement for the existing drain plug. Modification of the tank and installation of the bolt-on drain assembly will make it easier to drain the tank.
See the following procedure for modification of the tank and installation of the new drain assembly.

Necessary Parts
Modification and Installation Procedure
1. Drain the oil from the transmission oil tank.
2. Remove the transmission oil tank from the machine. See the Service Manual for the correct procedure.
3. On the left side and at the front of tank, cut openings (A) and (B) at the dimensions shown.
4. Grind the area smooth and clean the tank of all foreign material.
5. Put 9W6995 Block Assembly (1) in the openings cut earlier in the tank and weld all around with a 6 mm (.24") fillet weld as shown.
6. Assemble 1W6919 Elbow (2), 6N9999 Plug (3), 3B0551 Plug (4) and 4H6996 Pin (5) in 6N9989 Adapter (6) as shown.
NOTE: Install pin (5) with the pin groove away from the oil flow passage.
7. Install the valve assembly on the tank with a 6V6756 Seal (7), two 1A2029 Bolts (8) and 5M2894 Washers.
8. Install the transmission oil tank on the machine. See the Service Manual for the correct procedure.
9. Fill the tank with oil. See the Operation and Maintenance Guide.
