PROBLEM
The engine oil pressure switch needs to be replaced on certain 525B and 535B Wheel Skidders. The 3E7692 Oil Pressure Switch may give false low oil pressure indications to the Caterpillar Monitoring System warning system. The de-actuation pressure for this switch may be above the lowest acceptable engine oil pressure that may occur during normal operation. A new switch is available that better matches the expected oil pressure of the engine.A number of quality improvements have been made to the 3E7690 Oil Pressure Switch. The new 3E7690 will have a higher service life.
