Adjustment Of Track Tension On Machines With One Carrier Roller Per Side{4150}

Usage:

D3, D3 LGP, D4, D4 S.A. and D4 LGP Tractors;
931, 941, 951 and 955 Loaders

Description of Change: A different dimension is now used to get the correct track tension on the above models. The December 6, 1976 Service Magazine gave a description of the "slack" adjustment procedure for all track-type machines except excavators. In the article, the idler bearing assembly is moved to the rear .50" (13 mm) from a completely tight track position. For machines with one carrier roller per side, the idler bearing assembly is now moved to the rear .38" (10 mm) from a completely tight track position.

Make a note of this change in your copy of the December 6, 1976 Service Magazine.

Adaptable To: The .38" (10 mm) dimension can be used for track adjustment on all track-type machines that are equipped with one carrier roller per side.
