New Spring Used In Belt Tightener And/Or Fan Drive Groups{1358,1359}

Usage:

All Vehicular Engines That Use A 1S6211 Spring In The Belt Tightener Or Fan Drive Groups

Description of Change: A new three-piece 7N5959 Spring is used as a replacement for the one-piece 1S6211 Spring in the belt tightener on fan drive groups on vehicular engines. The new three-piece spring has a different design in the shape of the hooks at each end. The hooks are now separate pieces assembled into each end of the spring. The former hooks had ends with a small radius. The design of the former springs caused stress in the spring wire where it was bent to make the hook. This caused some hooks to break. The new design spring will give longer service life in this application.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement.
