New connectors with an orifice are used in the turbocharger oil lines groups for Napier Turbochargers that are mounted on the rear of these engines. The connectors with an orifice will reduce the oil pressure that is supplied to the turbochargers. Excessive oil pressure to the turbochargers may result in an oil leak past the seal on the compressor or the seal on the turbine.
The new 226-2501 Connector is a direct replacement for the 4S-6680 Connector in the 151-1126 Turbocharger Oil Lines Gp on 3608 Engines. Illustration 1 shows the location of the new 226-2501 Connector in the 151-1126 Turbocharger Oil Lines Gp.
