Fuel Shutoff Solenoid - Test

This procedure tests the fuel shutoff solenoid for correct operation.
- Remove the fuel shutoff solenoid from the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Shutoff Solenoid - Remove and Install".
- Connect the fuel shutoff solenoid to a 12 volt power source.
- When the fuel shutoff solenoid is connected, the plunger should extend. The plunger should remain extended until the circuit is de-energized. If the fuel shutoff solenoid fails this test, replace the fuel shutoff solenoid.
- Install the fuel shutoff solenoid on the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Shutoff Solenoid - Remove and Install".
