Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

a. Remove the heating and air conditioning unit.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Disconnect harness assemblies (1) and (2).

  2. Remove bolts (3).

  3. Separate case (4) from case (5).

  4. Remove temperature sensor (6).

  5. Remove evaporator coil (7).

Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Install evaporator coil (7).

  2. Install temperature sensor (6).

  3. Connect case (4) to case (5).

  4. Install bolts (3).

  5. Connect harness assemblies (1) and (2).

    End By:

    a. Install the heating and air conditioning unit.
