Fuel Manifold - Remove and Install - Clean Emissions Manifold

Usage:

Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures.

Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.

Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.

Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.


  1. Turn the fuel shutoff valve to the OFF position.

  2. Disconnect harness assemblies (1) and hose assemblies (2).

  3. Remove bolts (3) and fuel manifold (4).

  4. Remove fittings (5), fuel pressure sensor (6), and connector assembly (10).

  5. Remove nut (7), washer (8), coil assembly (9), cartridge assembly (12), and O-ring seals (11).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install fuel manifold (4) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten cartridge assembly (12) to a torque of 50 ± 5 N·m (37 ± 4 lb ft).

    2. Tighten connector assembly (10) to a torque of 30 ± 3 N·m (22 ± 2 lb ft).

    3. Tighten nut (7) to a torque of 20 ± 2.5 N·m (177 ± 22 lb in).

    4. Tighten fuel pressure sensor (6) to a torque of 30 ± 3 N·m (22 ± 2 lb ft).

    5. Tighten fittings (5) to a torque of 17 ± 2 N·m (150 ± 18 lb in).
