Fuel Manifold - Remove and Install - Clean Emissions Manifold

Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures. Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system. Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters. |
- Turn the fuel shutoff valve to the OFF position.

Illustration 1 g02299298 - Disconnect harness assemblies (1) and hose assemblies (2).
- Remove bolts (3) and fuel manifold (4).

Illustration 3 g02299356 - Remove fittings (5), fuel pressure sensor (6), and connector assembly (10).
- Remove nut (7), washer (8), coil assembly (9), cartridge assembly (12), and O-ring seals (11).
- Install fuel manifold (4) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten cartridge assembly (12) to a torque of
50 ± 5 N·m (37 ± 4 lb ft) . - Tighten connector assembly (10) to a torque of
30 ± 3 N·m (22 ± 2 lb ft) . - Tighten nut (7) to a torque of
20 ± 2.5 N·m (177 ± 22 lb in) . - Tighten fuel pressure sensor (6) to a torque of
30 ± 3 N·m (22 ± 2 lb ft) . - Tighten fittings (5) to a torque of
17 ± 2 N·m (150 ± 18 lb in) .
- Tighten cartridge assembly (12) to a torque of
