Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Use Tool (A) to install seals (9), if necessary. Ensure that the lip of the seal is toward the inside of the housing.

- Install four water temperature regulators (8) with the spring upward.

Illustration 3 g00764332 - Install a new gasket and position water temperature regulator housing (6) on the engine. Install bolts (7).

Illustration 4 g00764479 - Put a new gasket (10) in position and install the four bolts that fasten pipe (5) to water temperature regulator housing (6).

Illustration 5 g00764491 - Install O-ring seal (11) on tube (12). Put gasket (13) on the water temperature regulator housing.
- Install elbow (2). Install line (1) on elbow (2).
- Install the two retainers that fasten tube (12) to elbow (2).
- Fill the cooling with coolant to the correct level. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
