Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Place clean engine oil on the O-rings. Install Tool (A) and attach a suitable lifting device to engine oil pump (14).
- Ensure that the splines on the shaft of engine oil pump (14) are correctly engaged with the splines of the engine oil pump drive gear. Install bolts (15).

Illustration 2 g00762890 - Place clean engine oil on the O-ring seals and install tube (10) in elbow (11). Install elbow (11) on oil pump (14) with bolts (12).
- Place clean engine oil on the O-ring seals and install the tube with flange (13) on the bonnet.

Illustration 3 g00762873 - Install the gaskets and adapter (8) with bolts (5), (6), and (7).
- Install bracket (9).

- Remove the plug and caps from the oil pump and the oil lines.

Note: Refer to the Specifications Module, "Engine Oil Pump" for more information.
- Fill the cooling system to the correct level with coolant. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
