- Disconnect gas spring (2). Reposition and secure cover assembly (1) .

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force. Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment. Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force. |

- Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the engine. Apply slight lifting tension to the engine. The weight of the engine is approximately 770 kg (1700 lb).

- Remove bolt (3) and washer (4). Remove bolts (5) and mount assembly (6). Remove plate (7) and spacer (8) .

- Install spacer (8) and plate (7). Install mount assembly (6) and bolts (5). Install washer (4) and bolt (3) .

- Remove Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device from the engine.

- Position cover assembly (1). Connect gas spring (2) .
