A New Sensor Housing In Prelubrication Lines Groups (Continuous Prelube) Provides Improved Operation {1319}

Engines: 3606 (S/N: 8RB1-UP) 3608 (S/N: 6MC1-UP) 3612 (S/N: 9RC1-UP) 3616 (S/N: 1PD1-UP)

Description of Change: A new sensor housing and new tube assemblies are used in the prelubrication lines groups (continuous prelube) on these engines. The new sensor housing helps eliminate entrapped air in the prelubrication lines groups. The new sensor housing and tube assemblies provide improved performance for the prelube sensing system.

Adaptable To: The new 175-4463 Housing is used in the improved prelubrication lines groups (continuous prelube). Table 1 lists the production effectivity for the improved prelubrication lines groups.

Remove the 121-0597 Liquid Detector Group (6) .

Remove the parts that are listed in Table 2.

Install one 9S-8005 O-Ring Plug and one 8L-2786 O-Ring Seal at location (B) .

Refer to Illustration 2. Remove the 9S-8006 O-Ring Plug and the 6V-4589 O-Ring Seal from location (D) .

Install the parts that are listed in Table 3.

Install a 6J-7366 Flared Cap at location (E) .

Install one 0S-1591 Bolt and one 8M-9024 Hard Washer at location (F) .

Remove the 9S-8006 O-Ring Plug and the 6V-4589 O-Ring Seal from location (H). Install the 9S-8006 O-Ring Plug and a new 6V-4589 O-Ring Seal at location (G) .

Remove the two 0S-1591 Bolts and two 3V-3308 Washers from location (J) .
