16 N·m (12 lb ft) - When the bridge is installed on the cylinder block, apply a thin bead of 8T-9013 Silicone Sealant into the groove at each end of the bridge. Ensure that the groove is completely full of sealant and that the sealant is protruding from the bridge.

(6) Main bearing cap bolts
Use the following procedure in order to install the main bearing cap bolts:
- Apply clean engine oil to the threads of the main bearing cap bolts.
- Put the main bearing caps in the correct position that is indicated by a number on the top of the main bearing cap. Install the main bearing caps with the locating tabs in correct alignment with the recess in the cylinder block.
- Evenly tighten the main bearing cap bolts.

“D” plug |
The “D” plugs are only on the pushrod side of the engine.
Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the outer edge of the “D” plug.
The baffle plate of the “D” plug must be aligned with the horizontal and vertical lines ±5°.
