(1) Lubricate the face of the locknut and threads of the locknut prior to assembly.

Torque for locknut ... 5900 ± 300 N·m (4360 ± 220 lb ft)

(2) Lubricate the inside diameter and the outside diameter with clean grease.

(3) Rod assembly

Outside diameter ... 84.930 ± 0.030 mm (3.3437 ± 0.0012 inch)
Minimum thickness of plating ... 0.033 ± 0.007 mm (0.0013 ± 0.0003 inch)

(4) Bore of head ... 85.730 ± 0.030 mm (3.3752 ± 0.0012 inch)

(5) 180-7756 Sleeve Bearing

Outside diameter ... 90.102 ± 0.011 mm (3.5473 ± 0.0004 inch)
Inside diameter ... 80.250 ± 0.020 mm (3.1594 ± 0.0008 inch)
Install the bearing in the bearing bore. ... 10.0 ± 0.5 mm (0.39 ± 0.02 inch)

(6) Lubricate the sealing lip slightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install the seal in the bearing bore. ... 1.00 ± 0.50 mm (0.039 ± 0.020 inch)

(7) Bore of cylinder ... 120.0 ± 0.1 mm (4.724 ± 0.004 inch)

(8) 198-5509 Sleeve Bearing

Outside diameter ... 106.115 ± 0.011 mm (4.1777 ± 0.0004 inch)
Inside diameter ... 90.27 ± 0.02 mm (3.554 ± 0.001 inch)
Install the bearing in the bearing bore. ... 9.85 ± 0.50 mm (0.388 ± 0.020 inch)

(9) The slit of the ring must turn in the direction of the piston.

(10) Lubricate the sealing lip slightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(11) Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount Compound to the groove before the cylinder is assembled.
